I learned something new today.
Love this so much.
I can't wait for the next video.
LOL, I'm also from Baltimore and it's way more dangerous than Medellin.
I’m appreciative of this information as I want to travel outside the states in the next year, but when eating live octopus was mentioned, it made me so very sad. I suggest watching My Octopus Teacher and researching octopus. They are so cognitively and emotionally intelligent that they can develop bonds with humans..like a literal relationship. I have never eaten octopus and now even hearing it is akin to hearing about cannibalism.
I used to think low-budget travel meant missing out. But The Unspoken Formulas of Cost-Effective Travel by Triplyte Insider completely changed that. It showed me how to experience more, not by spending more, but by seeing travel differently. From hidden gems to planning strategies that actually work, it’s the kind of insight I wish I had years ago.
Finally a real video and an ai short
I will second staying in the Laurales neighborhood in Medellin. I spent my first 5 nights in El Poblado, which was fine, but then I spent my next 6 nights in Laurales and really enjoyed that area much more. Still vibrant and very nice, but a bit more of a local-ish feel vs. the somewhat tourist filled/party vibes of Poblado. I suppose it just comes down to what you're looking for, but I definitely enjoyed the back half of my trip to Medellin more than the front half. I could very much see enjoying living in Laurales.
It would be easy to travel if the flights weren't that expensive….
great video! i loved how you highlighted these hidden gems for budget travel. although, i have to say, i think some of these places might get too popular if they keep getting recommended like this. it could change the vibe completely, you know? just a thought!
Japan is not cheap, don’t be fooled 😅 hotels are expensive lately (even budget hostels in major cities), traveling long distances between cities is expensive (though there are better and more affordable passes than the JR Railway Pass). Food can be cheap if you eat junk.. or at least cheap compared to Japanese restaurants in the US I’m imagining. Planning a trip there alone is also tough, best to get some help from local experts.
Plan your next great trip
Mex costly edp intercity busesfor safety took thrm plus only cheap is hostels which had no ventilation ..plus out of season was hurricane season. All was a challenge as solo
Come to Vietnam
could you please tell me which street food tour you booked in seoul? Thank you!
Korea, yes!!! 😍😍😍
I'm surprised they freaked over Columbia and not Guatemala 😅
And yes, so true, there are areas in all cities that even most of the locals steer clear of given the choice. But, I think, living in a city is good training for travel. You're always aware of your surroundings, even if you don't look it
Loved Columbia. Medellin was so interesting. Took the subway and cable car. Loved Croatia and Guatemala with warnings ringing in our ears but it was fantastic, looved Croatia and Montenegro. Did Croatia before it joined the EU… I’m told it was cheaper then. Montenegro definitely cheaper.
Croatia is expensive
Great video!
I would like to add to your list: Cambodia, specifically Siem Reap! Angkor Wat did not disappoint!
Also, Estonia. I only had the chance to visit Tallinn which I loved! I plan on going back and renting a car to explore more. The countryside looks incredibly beautiful. Cheap flights on Icelandair to Helsinki and then you can take the ferry over to Tallinn.
Keep adventuring!
Liked and subscribed. Great to see some hidden affordable destinations all over. Cheers 👍
Thank you
What age do you recommend children should be at each age to get the most out of it
