The Chase hotel credit is total BS because their hotel rates are way higher than other sites like hotels and booking… do the research!
lol anyone notice at 2:20 the stock video of the calc, the dude is mashing buttons?
I’m failing in the points transfer game. The best I can do so far is to use my venture points to erase travel purchases at 1cpp.
Can IHG credit card points be transferred to Chase Points?

I would argue that the Venture has an effective $65 AF, since the TSA Precheck/Global Entry credit is $120 over a 4 year span.
All of this makes my head hurt. I currently have the CSR but with it increasing to $795/year and catering to luxury, I'm out of that class and will not be paying that. So now I need another card and I'm on the hunt. It's so complicated for this simple minded brain of mine.
I just got the Chase Sapphire Preferred and I'm looking forward to investigating travel partners. This is my first foray into travel points/miles game. I'm kinda excited.
Best card for someone who flies every 5 or 7 YEARS internationally and would appreciate free upgrade to business class? Lounge access would be great. Thank you in advance!
💎 Thanks
huge capital one fan + simplicity of 2x catch all makes them the winner imo, thanks sebby
I feel like the travel cards are not worth in general unless you spend like 5k+(non-inflated price from portals) because cards like RH gold(3%) to just breakeven you need to do (venture x)5%-3%=0.02. Let says the diff in fees is 395-300(credit)-50(gold card)=45 then you would need to spend like 2k+ to just breakeven. You can argue that it has other benefits but those you can live without, its not part of the important ones like actual travel cost. You have to be already spending that much or else they successfully sold you their business too(they made you spend more money even though you brokeven). Of course things like hotel is 10% but also need to take in account portal inflated prices(just checked rn, it’s slightly inflated but not that much). It not as good what people make it seem to be if you already have a really good catch all like the RH gold card. Thoughts?

🪃 C1 duo is a keeper for me and I’ll be downgrading my CSP when the annual fee renews. Chase doesn’t provide me anything the C1 setup doesn’t. And I don’t value Hyatt nearly as much as others because of their much smaller footprint. I’ve also got Bilt if I do want that Hyatt option.
💎 I’m team Chase, it’s overall more points for me and they have the better travel partners, especially for domestic airlines.
I just hope the CSP doesn’t get rid of the 25% boost in the portal, and it’d be nice if they made the 3X on online groceries for all groceries.
This is amazing.
💎, great video as always
💎 team chase, but thinking about starting into a second points system, but everyone else's hotels seem barely worth it. Any suggestions on a second system once you're in maintenance mode with Chase? Wish I would have had MR before the Hawaiian to Alaska loophole closed but we at least got the 70k Hawaiian single purchase cards 😊

Downgrade paths were left out SEBBY!

Neither – the Citi Strata Premier is better than both!!!
