I’d love prayers! ❤
My tips: 1) Book an aisle seat over the wings of the airplane. It is calmer during turbulence, than it is in the back of the plane. 2) When turbulence occurs visualize the plane being surrounded by yello 3) Talk to your neighbor as a distraction 4) Share your feelings with a flight attendant before take-off. 5) Inhaling an essential-oil like lavender or any scent that gives you comfort 6) Prepare your own music, podcast, meditation playlist and use noise canceling headphones 7) Consider taking medication 8) Give yourself grace and allow yourself to be emotional ❤
Thanks for the prayers! 🙏✝️🛡️💙😊
I' leaving Wednesday night for almost a month in Europe. If you are still taking prayer requests, I'd love a prayer for comfort. I'm a nervous flyer and my entire family (husband, daughter and mother in law) will be on board together. Thank you.
I am 52 yrs old and haven't flown since I was 20. I stopped flying because I was on a really turbulent flight and was so scared I said I would never fly again. I want to fly now because I live in GA and I want to go to Alaska and go on a cruise. I'm in therapy and praying one day I can get in an airplane again.
I’m flying for the first time in 30 years… AND I’m flying as a very over weight person. To say I’m nervous is an understatement!
I appreciate you husband’s input, too.
Thank you! I take meds with me to fly. They may help me sleep going to London in Aug. I had an anxiety attack on a plane where I was in the aisle on the floor. Turbulence is when I start praying "make it smooth..make it smooth" 😊
If you get claustrophobia or get hot/stuffy when flying, it helps to pack a small battery powered fan
Nervous flyer. Please pray for me. Thank you.
Prayer requests? Well, thank you!! Not flying yet but October. 🙏🏻😀
Thanks so much Laurie, this was so helpful……love the Skittles trick, of course, I can eat them afterwards hee hee
I’m flying to Vegas in 5 weeks I’m kind of nervous
Thank you for this great video. I would be really interested in a video about flying with young children on their first flight. We will be making a trip to Europe next year with our grandsons, it will be their first time on a plane.
Great video!
Do we need to rake our vitamins in their original bottles?
I'm a super nervous flyer. I carry a bag of mints with me to suck on and bring a rechargeable fan so I can blow it onto my face. It helps me not faint 😅
"Another anxiety reducing technique is to write a full sentence." – Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed are you Mary among all woman and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus. 😊
If I listen to music that I love and play a puzzle game at the same time, my brain gives up on being nervous.

Hi Laurie
I haven’t flown overseas since 1985 when I was coming back to the states from the Army in Germany. I looked for travel channels and found you. I have gotten so many great tips from you and purchased a lot of your suggestions. I’m leaving next week Monday the 28th and am very nervous about flying. I was 26 when I last flew and not as carefree as I once was. My doctor did prescribe me medication but I am nervous to take it not knowing how It will make me feel. I’m traveling with my son, mom and a nephew so I wont be alone. I would appreciate prayers. I will let the flight attendant know that I’m also claustrophobic. I have to make this trip to Berlin as my cousin is very sick. Thank you for your tips and for your traveling wisdom. I feel a bit less anxious knowing I’ve gotten traveling knowledge from you.
I like to listen to music and do word search puzzles as we start the descent to help take my mind off any possible turbulence we may encounter. Keeping my brain occupied with the word search really helps keep my mind calm.
Sitting on tarmats: one of the many reasons not to fly again.
I have an International flight coming up on May 3 and I am a nervous flyer. Can you say a prayer for me. Thanks for the tips.
Great ideas! Thank so much. If anyone can't take medicine, I have found that bach rescue remedy also works great for anxiety. I love the turbulence dance idea from a commenter…
Thank you so much for this video! My mom has terrible anxiety and had a panic attack last time we flew somewhere. She is my travel buddy so this video may help her get back on a plane again. ❤❤❤
That’s kind of you to offer prayers Laurie. I’m getting a tad anxious about my upcoming trip, so a prayer is welcomed! I think it stems from grouchy abusive almost TSA at our airport. (SLC). Pray I have a less mean one and that I have a safe flight! Thank you for your great tips!
Question regarding medication. I usually have them in my Sun-Mon pill sorter. Can i just take that ir do i need to take the actual medication Rx bottle with the pills in them? Or do i need the actual Rx sheet printout? . I take heart and anxiety medication.
Oh, bless your heart! I don’t suffer from anxiety on an airplane, but I do suffer from claustrophobic panic attacks in the hotel. We’re traveling to Scotland next month and would appreciate your prayers thank you and great video. ❤
Something that happened to me : if you have a cat and lose/dusty type cat litter , after you leave home wipe down everything – luggage , bag , clothes and your hands after that . On my last trip it seems like i somehow had some dust from it on me and it made the scanner go of , after the second passing the agent was confused as me , she called me to her and checked my hands , then just smiled and said i can go , yup the CAT LITTER dust made the scanner go of.
I need to purchase a carryon suitcase that will fit any flight to anywhere. What do you recommend
Im a horrible flyer, but im also a nurse and had to help another passenger, anxiety gone and critical thinking took over. Just know youre in good hands if youre anxious, we got you..
Thank you for your common sense information. As a nurse, I can give a tip to calm yourself down — Think about the center of your chest going up and down as you slowly breathe in and out. Or play a counting game — How many red things can you see? Blue? Green? Anything to distract yourself.
I would say that I am mildly, normally concerned about airplane sounds and motions. I hadn't flown for 10 years, but last year, I went to Ireland and did fine.
Hi Laurie 👋
I love your channel and YOU ! ♥️
I bought the liquids zipper pack on Amazon and I can’t tell if it’s the 1 liter size for Europe. Thoughts 💭
I love your frames!!!

Hello, can you give us some tips to avoid the bullet planting in the Philippines?
Prayer request. I accepted a promotion at work that will have me traveling every other month. I couldn’t tell you the last time I was on a plane, but I’m 3 weeks away from my first trip and your videos are helping me greatly. I got very anxious today at the thought of flying and being away from my two young children and husband but I know this job is an opportunity for me to better provide for my family. All prayers, well wishes, and travel tips welcome. Thank you for content!
I'm going on my very first cruise, flying to FL to get on cruise and I'm wanting to do everything in a carry-on, any suggestions?
Hello Laurie😊 I really appreciate your prayer requests. I'm a nervous flyer. Our son is autistic and my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's last year. I'm the in charge person for my family. Can you say a quick prayer for us? I'm especially nervous with all the things that have happened recently. I always say a prayer for my pilots, flight crew, and fellow passengers for a safe, smooth flight. Thank you and blessings to you 🥰🫶🙏
Please pray for me first trip i am taking alone since my husband of 30 years past
One of the greatest mistakes nervous flyers make on an airplane is holding their breath or breathing too shallowly.
Thank you for this great advice!
I'm getting ready to go on my first flight. Can I take my empty personal water bottle that's 46 Oz then fill it after going thru security. I really hope I'm not going to be nervous we'll see. Thank you so much for all your helpful tips. Is it a good idea to take packaged cookies for the stewardesses?
I sometimes get a little nervous going through airport security (or the cruise ship's security) before boarding but if I feel I might need it that day, I'll take a very low dose (0.25mg) Xanax my Dr prescribed about an hour and a half before I'm to board, and it calms me. It's funny (strange) that once I'm through security, I relax and have a great time. When the plane takes off doesn't bother me at all, and turbulence hasn't bothered me in the past, but getting through security, I worry that I'll cause others a delay, or that I might forget some important document (like the boarding pass, for example). I hope everyone who feels similar, finds something that works for them.
Fantastic tips-only experience can teach these but you manage to get on one video! thx👍
