I only buy luggage without zipper made of plastics. I have the same type in the sizes from a brand that sounds like „sam so nice“. 👍
I usually get Samsonite because the brand has been reliable and is often on sale–old fashioned name. But my last Samsonite carry on has a squared off handle and it rubs my hand terribly. Airports are getting bigger and more difficult to navigate–so many duty free shops and free standing vendors!–so by the time I cope with different flooring, changing floor levels, escalators and elevators, my hands are a mess.

I love level 8 , but it has a weakness- it cracks at the corners ! If you carry it with you there is not a problem , but when I had to check in the bag, it came in cracked.

Samsonite, American Tourister or DelSey for checked bags. My family have had them since the early 60d and they’re still going strong. Obviously we’ve bought new ones with wheels since then and again, none have been damaged.

Hey!! Thank you so much for the advice. My son and daughter in law bought me a new suitcase. I had one thought it was okay but had problems with the wheels and handle while we all travelled together. They travel a lot!! After listening to all your advice I am even more impressed by their choice – Monos Carry On Plus. So many features and the right wheels, handle etc. 🎉🎉🎉

Pet peeve in US air transport: People carrying on full-sized suitcases and taking up way more room than they should. Up until 2 years ago, I observed this all the time. Has that changed in the meantime?
I love my Monos carry-on. It has a front pocket, and it fits vertically in the overhead, not just horizontally.
