Cool video, thanks for sharing. This app, ATM Fee Saver, always helps us a lot while we travel. It shows nearby ATMs that charge little to no fees, super helpful for saving money.
Great Tips thanks for sharing. When I was there I also used one app super often: ATM Fee Saver. The app shows ATMs with no or low fees for withdrawing money. Super simple and great for saving money while being abroad!
Totally disagree with tip culture, not work for me, I mean, in my country usually companies pay salaries to their employees, so, they do a great job because they have a good salary, if some countries exploit their employees, customers shouldn’t cover them.
Hello, we are staying in an Airbnb Hip Strip by Doctor’s Cave Beach. Do you recommend taking a taxi cab to rockland bird sanctuary?
The currency was extremely helpful, thank you!!
Such helpful tips. Thanks for putting this together Irina. Very well-,done (as always)!
I bought a stone elephant carving from a Jamaican woman who claimed she makes them. I paid her 100 usd. Later I saw the same one on amazon from Idia for 25.
Thanks so much for the info, it's super helpful. Eespecially if you are travelling on a budget — I also use the Wise card to avoid fees, plus apps like ATM Fee Saver (great for finding fee-free ATMs there) and iOverlander to find local spots to eat on a budget).
Thank you Irie for all the tips
you are wrong about rejecting locals trying to sell their stuff to you in an unsolicited way. It´s not because travellers have "read" somewhere that the right thing is to ignore salespeople, they do it. Being an avid traveller myself, I can tell you, that if I had to politely decline every single offer I have had of purchasing some random person´s stuff on the street, I would have had to spend half my travelling life speaking to sales people.
Thanks! VERY HELPFUL INFORMATION ❤
I would love to meet you on our next visit 20 25

Hello I really loved ur video!! If u could please tell me I'm going on vacation with my girlfriend's on Saturday to Jamaica for a whole week. And I watched the YouTube video from this. One woman saying that she recommended this guy named krackerz Is what they call him and she said he was really good as like a tour guide and as somebody to drive them around to all of their adventures. So she left his contact information in the Comments and me and my girlfriends hit him up. Is it normal for him to ask for a deposit of two hundred dollars before we get there? Please respond asap if u can! Thank u so much!
Great video!
So I’m going to be traveling alone to Jamaica. How do I make sure my stuff doesn’t get stolen? Like if I wanted to go for a swim, at the beach, but I have my backpack with me… what do I do? Like are there lockers to use, for example at Doctor’s Cave Beach?
What part/parts of passport do u suggest making a copy of ?
Is the JMD worth more or less than the USD?
Thank you for sharing

Heading there in February and I want to rent a car just curious how driving will be
How is the fishing
I agree jackets are not needed in Jamaica for people that live in colder climates like north east USA or Europe but it doesn’t hurt to bring a LIGHT synthetic rain jacket for when it pours . Trust me you gonna need it .. other than that I have seen Jamaicans wearing jackets on the hottest day and I can’t understand how the do it!! I guess everyone is different
