Hi Laurie, new subscriber and really enjoy your YouTube videos. Getting quite a few helpful tips for when we travel. I also really enjoy your great Georgia "accent ". Keep up the great travel hacks and other information.
I'm learning a lot to make the most of our carry-ons and personal bag. Much needed since my husband won't check bags.
Hello Thanks
I use my nice pouches, make-up bags, toiletry bags for road trips but when flying, I only use baggies. Custom officers like them too if they have to search a bag because they don't have to open a whole bunch of little bags, they just pull them out and look through. The $ stores also sell little tiny zipper baggies that are good for pills, earrings, floss sticks, etc. I do feel bad about the 'one-time use' plastic bags but airlines have so many restrictions now that we don't have much choices. I try to re-purpose them as much as possible so that they are used more than once.
I have migraines and use a doubled ziplock bags for an ice pack. Use a smaller bag to pack the ice tighter . Add a dish towel and instant ice pack! Most restaurants will give you ice if you explain it's for an pack.
For those still using Tictacs, old Tictac containers are great for containing OTC medications and/or pill/capsule supplements.
Tictac containers also make good containers for a homemade sewing kit of pre-threaded needles, extra thread wound on a piece of cardboard, and a number of safety pins. Match thread color to the color of your packed clothes.
I bought disposable shoe covers in the painting supply area (12 pair pack) at the Dollar Tree to cover the bottom of my shoes before I pack them. They work great and I can squeeze my shoes in any wear without getting my clothes dirty
I don't know how I missed you all these years but I love your tips! Thank you🤗
I can't remember the YouTuber's name, but she put her iPad in a baggie and places it in the pocket on the seat back, after an incident on a previous flight. The plug-in port got glumped up with frosting from a cupcake 🧁 𝙔𝙪𝙘𝙠!
Tan lindo el perrito 🐶 ❤
I've seen women pack their necklaces in straws. Thread it through and hook it. Place in a baggie and you're ready to go!
Packing delicate thin necklaces; slip one end into a shortened plastic straw then close up…prevents tangling.
I remove my medicine labels from the pill bottles, stick them on portion control snack bags i buy at target, then put my pills/vutamins inside.
Love all your videos!!!
We haven’t met before so you said to say hey. Hey from my wife and I in Pennsylvania.
I bring an empty smaller ziploc on the plane with me for all my used wipes, tissues, and other garbage. Flight attendants really appreciate the germ-free, neatly packaged mess! A gallon sized ziploc and a package of laundry soap sheets makes it very easy to quickly wash out the day's tops, socks and unmentionables in the hotel sink every night, thus requiring less clothing to be packed. A ziploc sandwich bag in my purse at all times means I can dispose of the various wipes I use throughout the day, even if I'm not near a garbage can.
I always bring clean baggies on the airplane to collect my trash, especially the Clorox wipes used to clean my space. I do not expect the flight attendants to touch my used wipes and trash. That’s just yucky in the era of Covid travel.
Hi where can I order the stripe cabin bag please. Thanks.
I use the sandwich sized bag for my trash – for my little tissues, granola wrappers, and misc small things. It helps when waiting for the flight attendants to come buy with their trash bag.
I use bags for making ice packs and for leftovers
👍🏻
I haven't traveled in over 20 years and I was very nervous, she put my mind at ease!
Just be aware that some countries are now banning single use plastic bags, especially Africa!
like Dawn said below… we always bring a baggie full of assorted baggies along with some chip clips while traveling. so handy!
Laurie, I love all your videos. I learn a lot even though we are not traveling that much during these covid times. Thank you very much!
♥️♥️♥️♥️
I like to use the small plastic bags that you get with n extra button when you buy clothes. Some are a decent size and can be used or a pair or two of earrings, a single necklace, extra safety pins, a few pills etc.
